Who We Are 
Founded in 1888 by women, for women, we have evolved into a gathering place for active, interesting women of all ages. 

 What We Do 
We are a social club whose underlying historic mission has been to foster the appreciation of the arts and literature, to assist the Oil City Library, to promote civic improvement, and to sponsor those things which support the advancement of public welfare.  

 Our Members
Our members are working women, retirees, community leaders, professionals, business owners and life-long volunteers, united in one purpose – to connect with other women

 Service: 
Volunteer with friends to help our community grow stronger.  One-time or long-term opportunities abound at the Belles Lettres Club. 
 Leadership: 
Leadership development and nonprofit Board opportunities are available through Club committees and charitable fundraising events.  
 Clubhouse: 
Our beautiful Clubhouse, located on West First Street in Oil City, offers free parking and meeting rooms.
